The Day-2 of Mental Health Training Course for Family Physicians was held on 13-07-2021 at the Dynasty Restaurant Faisalabad. The 1st sessions started by Prof. Dr Imtiaz Ahmad Dogar’s discussion on the very important topic of Dementia and its Psychological as well as Pharmacological interventions were discussed.
Secondly some facts and figures were shared by Prof. Dr Imtiaz Ahmad Dogar on Substance use disorder, Definition, causes, assessment, sign & symptoms, diagnosis, psychosocial rehabilitation as well as management were enlightened.
After lunch break, an interaction session was held on neurodevelopmental disorders. In an action questioning and asking session audience was taught presentation, sign & symptoms, assessment and diagnosis of emotional and behavioral disorders of the children. Management according to the Bio Psychosocial Model was discussed. Last but the least, suicide was debated upon. After sharing some facts and figures of incidence among population, importance of early diagnosis and intervention was high lighted.
In the end a post-test taken from the participants, Closing remarks and certificate distribution was done in the end.
